While we all will surely still be relaxed, and residually sedated after the 420 weekend, what better way to continue the vibes then to witness amazing emerging jazz and funk musicians. Mark April 29th on your calendar to be in attendance for Masego with the TrapHouseJazzBand, Moods., Kamau, and Fast4Ward. The night begins at 8pm and it all goes down at The Bluebird, curated by Souls In Action, and presented by Red Bull Sound Select.
The star, gifted musician, vocalist and genius looping master is better known as Masego. Meaning, blessing in Tswana, the name fits the artist who since 8 years old has been honing his craft as a multi-instrument musician since an early age with his family’s church band. Masego feels the music and reproduces spontaneously great lyricism and compositions through the blessings given to his hands, creative mind and voice.
With the inclusion of the Trap House Jazz Band with Masego expect a jazzy, funky jam band essence, a rock star’s stage presence from the lead, and dancing. Noted with the expertise of the saxophone, drums, piano, vibraphone, harmonica, guitar, trumpet, trombone, and a Maschine, a great experience is undoubtable. Observably, Masego is just as versatile as a vocalist as instrumentalist, going from scatting, to singing and to rapping over his live built instrumental loops initiated by the band, and meshed loops of beat boxing, piano and saxophone riffs.
The product is this unique, personified craft of successfully mashing the genres Trap, House, and Jazz, the messages reveal the goofy, spiritual, life loving artist Masego is. Be a witness of the improvisational music genius by RSVPing for only $5 here.
